This application works on the basis of Pomodoro Technique. The app tagline is “Stay Focused, Be Present”. How it works?

This application works on the basis of Pomodoro Technique. In this app when you do a task, just plant a tree and set a timer. Between this time period if you will focus on your work, the tree will grow, but if you will go to chat with your friends, the tree will get destroyed and you will have to start your timer again. Once the timer is over, you can take a short break so that you may feel fresh, and after then you can again start your work. The app will also record your performance. It will give you a report on how much productive you were in the last day, week, month or year. The report will be shown through a virtual forest. The better you will perform the denser will be the forest. There is also graphical and detailed representation of these reports to help you improve your focus.

What is Pomodoro Technique?

Pomodoro Technique is a time management technique developed by Francesco Cirillo in the year 1980. The name “Pomodoro” is an Italian word which means “Tomato”. This technique makes use of a timer that divides the time into intervals, by default it is set to 25 minutes. Each interval is known as Pomodoro. There are several steps to use this technique. Those steps are listed below.

In this technique, there are 6 steps to be done.

  1. Choose the task.
  2. Set the Pomodoro timer (By default it is set to 25 minutes).
  3. As the timer starts, start your work that you want to focus on.
  4. After the timer is over, make a check mark on the paper.
  5. Take a short break (3-5 minutes) if you are feeling lazy, otherwise you can move on to step 6.
  6. After you have completed 4 pomodoros, take a longer break (25-30 minutes), reset your check mark to zero, and then again move on to first step.

So, this is how you can use this app and this technique to focus on your task and increase your productivity. If you liked this article or have any further questions, please do comment below in the comments section.
